Our beliefs
We believe that God is love. God creates in love, God in the resurrected Christ, saves the world in love, and God remains present with us in love through the Holy Spirit, who guides and brings about healing and wholeness in us and through us to our world.
We believe that each person is unique and valuable. Each person carries the image of God and should have a strong sense of being valued and loved.
We believe that each person is on a spiritual journey and that each of us is at a different stage of that journey.
We believe that the persistent search for God produces an authentic relationship with God, engendering love, strengthening faith, dissolving guilt, and giving life purpose and direction.
We believe that God calls us to be servants in the service of others and to be good stewards of the earth’s resources. ‘To believe is to care; to care is to do.’
Our Values
Our core values keep us grounded and focused.
The person and message of Jesus – we are inspired to follow the example of the life and message of Jesus of Nazareth. We see Jesus as the model for our life and ministry as a community.
Love for each other – we seek to be a community that is marked by love. Love is a doing word, and we seek to demonstrate our love in practical ways.
Justice for all – justice is a major theme in the Bible and was. Primary focus in the ministry of Jesus. Justice simply means making things right for everyone. Justice work is ministry.
Welcome and affirmation – we are an inclusive community we each person is welcomed and affirmed. Our primary responsibility is to “first do no harmâ€.
Connection and service – relationships are the oxygen that allows us to live fully and freely. We exist to love and serve each other.
