Bringing heaven to earth by learning, living and loving the Way of Jesus

beyond sunday...

Being a part of the regeneration Community is about more than going to a Sunday Church Service, it is about how we live as a community, and how we contribute to the world around us.

What we do beyond Sunday is not just something we do in additional to Sunday but it is the essence of who we are as a community, and therefore core to our being.

Here is a sample of some of the things the Regen community are and have been involved in over the last few years.

Assisting Other Charities...

Organising bags for the homeless of Croydon, the bags included a hat, gloves, a scarf, socks, and underwear. These bags were delivered to, The Salvation Army and The Family Justice Centre, both in Croydon, who distributed them.

Organising food boxes for vulnerable elderly individuals who live in Croydon, the boxes included tins of soup, salmon, fruit, biscuits, chocolates, cakes, tea, sugar and other such items. These boxes were delivered to Croydon Neighbourhood Care Association, who distributed them.

Volunteering...

Volunteering at the Roehampton Festival on the Alton Estate, which is organised by Regenerate UK and other associated groups.

Helping to landscape a families garden, who were suffering from illness and needed a ray of light.

Fundraising...

Sponsoring...

The Regeneration Project currently sponsor two children through Compassion UK, we will be posting some of the letters that we have received from these children and their families.

In May 2010, one of our Project Leaders will be abseiling down Battersea Power Station to raise money for MAG, The Mine Advisory Group, who deal with the remnants of war in past and current conflict zones.

Hanging Out...

Taking a group of young people paintballing in Sevenoaks.

Supporting and helping to organise a Street Party in Mitcham, being held by one of our Lead Pastor's.

Programmes...

We are currently running a programme called the Freedom Programme.

This is a 12 week programme for women, that aims to build self confidence and helps you learn how to understand and identify negative patterns in your relationship.

This programme identifies the tactics abusers use, the beliefs held by abusers, and the effects that domestic abuse can have on women and children. The Freedom Programme is for women who have experience of domestic abuse, be it in their personal or professional lives.

Each session is entirely confidential, and you can contribute as much, or as little, of your own thoughts and experiences as you like.

The programme looks at the personas of 'The Dominator' and the effects that each one have on us. These personas include: The Bully; The Headworker; The Jailer; The Liar; The Bad Father; The King of the Castle; The Sexual Controller; and The Persuader.

Who We Are...

Our members are involved in a variety of different organisations, and community groups... this is not what we do but who we are.
